DNA EXTRACTION KITS

Dipstick DNA Extraction Kit

Bento Agarose Tablets make agarose gel electrophoresis easy. The agarose is molecular grade and used for size-based separation of nucleic acids in agarose gel electrophoresis applications.

GelGreen® DNA Stain

Prepare solutions for gel electrophoresis quickly and accurately with this concentrated TBE buffer. Once diluted, the 1L concentrated stock solution provides enough buffer to cast and run 400 gels with Bento Lab.

Description

Prepare solutions for gel electrophoresis quickly and accurately with this concentrated TBE buffer. TBE Buffer (Tris-borate-EDTA) is one of the most commonly used buffers for DNA and RNA gel electrophoresis. This buffer is perfect for use with Bento Lab. The buffer can be used to cast gels, and as running buffer for gel electrophoresis.

Once diluted, the 1L concentrated stock solution provides enough buffer to cast and run 400 gels with Bento Lab. Dilute to a 0.5X solution by diluting 20x in water.

100 bp DNA Ladder

Estimate the size of DNA fragments of sizes 100 – 3,000 bp during gel electrophoresis using a 100 bp DNA Ladder. Provided as a mix of DNA fragments at known sizes and concentrations, a 500 µL tube provides enough ladder to run 100 lanes.

Description

DNA Ladders, also known molecular-weight size markers, contain a set of predetermined DNA fragment sizes. These markers are a set of standards used to identify the approximate size and concentration of a DNA fragment run on gel electrophoresis.

This ready to load 100 bp ladder is ideal for standard use during the electrophoresis of PCR-amplified DNA.

  • Contains known sized DNA fragments to allow comparison of the size and concentration of sample DNA fragments.
  • Contains loading dye for easy pipetting into electrophoresis gel wells, and as a visual aid to track the extent of DNA migration during gel electrophoresis.
  • Stable at room temperature, and can be stored up to nine months at room temperature without significant degradation.

Gel Loading Dye, Blue

Load DNA samples and track their migration during gel electrophoresis using Gel Loading Dye. Provided as a 6x Loading Dye, a 1 mL tube provides enough for between 200 samples of 25 μL and 1000 samples of 5 μL.

Description

Loading dye is mixed with DNA samples at a ratio of 1:5 for use in agarose gel electrophoresis. It contains a compound to render your samples denser than the running buffer, so that the samples sink in the well when loading; and a dye that migrates during electrophoresis at a similar rate to DNA, allowing assessment of the extent of DNA migration.

5x FIREPol® Master Mix
Ready To Load

A PCR master mix is a pre-prepared mixture that contains all of the components for a PCR reaction that are not sample-specific. You just need to add a DNA template, primers and water. 5x FIREPol® Master Mix Ready to Load is an optimised ready-to-use PCR master mix for routine PCR assays. This master mix contains thermostable Taq DNA polymerase FIREPol®, dNTPs, 7.5 mM MgCl2, and loading dye, in a buffer.

5x HOT FIREPol® Blend
Master Mix Ready to Load

For more demanding PCR applications, amplify DNA with 5x HOT FIREPol® Blend Master Mix Ready to Load. Provided as a 5x PCR Master Mix, it allows room temperature PCR setup with minimal mispriming and primer dimer formation, and direct loading into electrophoresis gels. A 1 mL tube provides enough reagents for 250 PCR reactions of 20 µL.

10x GC-Rich PCR Enhancer

Optimise your PCR reaction to improve specificity and yield when amplifying difficult GC-rich DNA templates. Provided as a 10x concentrated stock solution, the 1000 µL tube provides enough stock of GC-Rich PCR Enhancer to enhance up to 400 reactions.

Magnesium Chloride
(25 mM MgCl2)

Optimise magnesium ion concentration in PCR using Magnesium Chloride (25 mM MgCl2). Provided as a 0.22 µm membrane-filtered solution, 2.5 mL provides enough magnesium chloride for up to 2,000 reactions of 20 μL.

PCR Grade Water

This Sterile Highly Purified Water product is DEPC treated and manufactured to eliminate RNase enzyme activity. This is Autoclaved sterile and is suitable for use in PCR work.
